Weapons: Growing up as a hunter's child meant that he knew a great deal about how to use a weapon if needed. Due to his weak immune system, Ichiru never really learned how to handle weapons as well as Zero did. He did have some very basic training but most of his knowledge and skills came after he left with Shizuka. By the time he met Zero four years after leaving with the Pureblood, Ichiru could handle a sword and other bladed weapons with ease. While he was considerable weaker than the vampires of his world, he could go toe-to-toe with some of the lesser ones. However, he still was no match for a Pureblood as a human. Ichiru doesn't know how to just use melee weapons and can also use a variety of guns. He's actually a really good marksman and capable of hitting any target he wants.
Vampire Blood: After he went along with Shizuka, he started to drink her blood. It wasn't harmful for him to do so. The dangerous part came from the possibilities of a Pureblood drinking from a human. Shizuka refused to do this to Ichiru but gave him her blood instead. After he did, he no longer became sick all of the time and became stronger in general - strong enough to fight if necessary. Basically what this meant for Ichiru is that he was just a normal human being instead of a sickly thing.
Facility
Vampire: During his time in the Facility, he became a vampire from Ishtar's world. This gave him the normal abilities most vampires everywhere have. He's enhanced in almost every way (strength, speed, agility, healing, the five senses) and sunlight doesn't bother him so much but he is stronger at night. Like most vampires, Ichiru does need to drink blood but can go for a long period of time without needing to - up to a month. And then he can take it both straight from a donor and from another source like a blood-bag or something similar provided it's stored properly. He's never had to live off of things like blood tablets, like Zero does, but it would probably work. Ichiru can eat human food but it has become fairly bland and so when he makes food for just himself, he tends to add a lot of spices.
Holy magic or items are very capable of hurting or injuring Ichiru, even weapons like Zero's gun which is specifically made for hunting vampires. If injured, he doesn't lust for blood but it can help speed up the healing process and he's grown used to the smell of blood so he doesn't crave it if he catches a whiff of it somewhere. As his creator, Duzell is the only one capable of even slightly controlling him - though if Ichiru doesn't want to listen to the commands of his "Master", he doesn't have to. As a made vampire, Ichiru does have one very special ability: huge bat-like wings appear at his back. These are capable of lifting him off the ground and letting him fly if he puts his mind to it.
Magic: As a vampire, he is capable of using what is considered dark magic. However, there's only spell that he learned from Duzell before everything fell apart between the two of them and that's a healing spell. This isn't the average healing spell considering its based in dark magic. If he doesn't do it properly, Ichiru could easily injure someone further with the spell. It was honestly the only spell that he wanted to learn. Despite the fact that it's based in dark magic, he can use this spell on normal people and not have any issues with it.
Without someone capable of teaching him dark magic (specifically the dark magic of the Vampire Game world), there's no chance that he'll lose control of his magical potential and hurt someone. He's only capable of using magic when he's making a concentrated effort to.
◎ Weapons & Other Special Inventory:
x1 katana - just a normal sword
x1 tribble (named Reikumo) - somehow this tribble has been neutered so it won't have anymore babies, and Ichiru only knows it as a bushwoolie
x1 speed materia (from Cloud) - he can't actually use this

History:
Ichiru first arrived to the Facility around mid-October at the age of thirteen. His last memory consisted of sleeping in his twin brother's bed and when he woke to get himself a glass of water, he suddenly found himself in a strange new place. It was natural to think that he was in the hospital due to the stark, sterile environment the Facility consisted of. What wasn't normal was the fact that his twin was four years older than him now. At first, Ichiru wasn't bothered by it - not when they were just talking over the communicators. Zero was more surprised than his younger brother seeing as how he remembered Ichiru's death. His first day was rather uneventful seeing as how he was sick and barely left his own room, though he did manage to convince his brother to stay with him. It was the day that he spoke to someone else who would become so very important to him later down the line. Ishtar was someone he quickly became attached to, he even went so far as to make her a get-well card as she had been injured when they first spoke. Unknowingly to Ichiru, his older brother was protecting him from finding out the true nature of the place through other people. Though it was hard to hide the physical destruction that happened rather frequently.
Considering how Ichiru felt about his life, even at the age of thirteen, it should be no surprise when he took the chance to become more powerful in hopes that it would be enough to keep Zero from disappearing from his life. He easily let himself be led into drinking water tainted with Jenova's cells and becoming part of Kadaj's "family". While Ichiru might have become stronger, he also opened himself up to being manipulated by the remnant. Ichiru's fears seemed so real especially when he woke up in an entirely different place all by himself. The twins had been separated into different Facilities which meant it was impossible for Zero to stop him when Kadaj ordered him to destroy the area he was in. He even forced others to drink some tainted water, including Ishtar. Though when he was in control of himself once again Ichiru did apologize to everyone he'd gotten mixed up with.
The week after he was separated from Zero, they were reunited once again in what they called Facility Three. These places were often built to look like areas from people's homes and this one found them in the Soul Eater's world, complete with one person being able to transform into a weapon for their partner. Everything was made ten times worse for those infected by Jenova's cells by the fact that Sephiroth had appeared inside of the Facility. Ichiru tried to fight when the order came to hurt people, so much that he hurt himself instead. During his struggle to fight the control, he learned that Zero was a vampire now. It dawned on him that it was his fault - Ichiru was the reason his brother had become a vampire and he fled from the safety of Zero's protection with Cloud.
In early November, Sephiroth summoned Ichiru to him and unable to resist - he went to his death. It was publicized to everyone on the network even though the message specifically sent for Cloud. Three days later he was revived and the experiment made it impossible for him to go out on his own. Cloud and Ishtar proceeded to collect him from the store he'd taken refuge in from the zombies. He was reunited with Zero shortly after that and taken back to the house they'd been living in temporarily. The day after that, Cloud knew what he had to do and prepared the rest of the Facility's residents for his plan. He went out to fight Sephiroth while almost everyone gathered inside the school to keep them from getting caught in the cross-fire. By the time the fight was over, most the city was decimated but Cloud emerged as the victor. Zero and Ichiru were the ones to go collect him as he was completely exhausted. That was when Ichiru decided that he would take the cure, that he'd rid himself of the Jenova cells that had caused them all so much trouble even if that meant he'd no longer share a strong connection to Cloud and the others of his "family". It was painful and emotional for the pair to lose that connection but they both managed to get through it. They'd only been "family" for a few short weeks but they had been through a lot together.
After spending three weeks in the Soul Eater environment and completely destroying it, they all returned back to the regular Facility. Ichiru woke in his own bed with a strange new furry creature to go along with it. While the creatures were known in another universe as a tribble, no one had any idea what they were called. Or what they did. Which is why when they started reproducing at alarming rates, several individuals took it upon themselves to get rid of most of them. More importantly, this is the day that Shizuka Hio came back into his life. Unlike the first time he really spoke to Shizuka, Ichiru couldn't go with her. He had more people in his life that he really cared about - the feelings he had towards his own brother had changed. While Ichiru could understand Shizuka's sorrow, he couldn't be with her. The following week some individuals began to lose their minds due to the experiment. Ichiru was safe as he was spending his time around Cloud who acted as a cure to those who were around him. On the other hand, Zero lost his mind and killed Shizuka in his madness. Strange thing is that there are only a few that remember this week and so it was lost to time.
By the time December rolled around, Ichiru knew of his future - of his death. It put him into a sad mood for when people began to randomly show up for a fourth wall event. Around Christmas, they were subjected to wish week. Unconsciously Ichiru made his wish and woke up different. He was physically older with the memories of only thirteen years but that wasn't the only change. Somehow he'd become a mix of a vampire and a SOLDIER from Cloud's world. Which was really surprising to his blond friend considering he woke up with Ichiru at his throat. Partway through that week, Cloud was attacked by a vampire from Ishtar's world named Duzell. Despite his new abilities, Ichiru couldn't do anything to help him. In fact, he only made things a little worse when Ishtar showed up and he bit her. It was all a big bloody mess by the time Zero showed up but no one had died so Zero allowed them all to walk away. After the week was over, Ichiru disappeared for several days. He was never in the Facility again as a thirteen year old boy.
When he returned, he was actually seventeen years old. Ichiru had four years of memories of his life back in his own world and it included Shizuka's death. But he also had memories of the two and a half months he spent in the Facility, all of the things that had happened to him and those he cared about. It was a bit of a weird just for Ichiru. While he mourned Shizuka's death, he also had memories and feelings for people inside the Facility. Because it came at a crucial point in his life, Ichiru had mixed thoughts about what he'd do next. For now, he was just glad to be back in the Facility with all of the important people in his life - though Zero had gone missing.
Early January saw another change in their venue. This time they went to an island that was infested with dinosaurs known as Isla Nubar. Ichiru found his way to a bunker where there were weapons for those who didn't have one of his own but it was in the middle of the night and he encountered a raptor that nearly gutted him. Cloud came to help him out and gave Ichiru his speed materia as a light source. He never asked for it back so Ichiru still has it. A lot of the people took over the visitor's center as it was one of the main structures on the island and was a good place to stay safe from the dinosaurs. Here is where Ichiru became a cook that provided for everyone who was around. About a week after arriving, Cloud went missing and Ichiru was the only one to go looking for him. While he was searching, Zero returned except he couldn't remember anything about the previous time he was there. His older brother came to find him where they talked about some of the details of their previous time together in the Facility and then Zero proceeded to help him look for Cloud.
It took them days to find Cloud and when they did, he'd been badly injured. Ishtar was the one who took care of most of the healing process. For a while, Cloud didn't wake and when he did - he was different. The blond managed to fight Sephiroth's control long enough to push Ichiru out the window instead of killing him. Falling from the second story backwards caused some injuries but another of his friends, Joshua, appeared to help him out. Knowing that he wasn't strong enough to fight Cloud, Sephiroth or any of the others from their world, Ichiru allowed the other teen to take him away to a safe place. This is where he remained when the Visitor's Center fell though he did go back to help dig other people out of the rubble. Both Cloud and Sephiroth were killed in the fight, along with some others. The rest of their time on Isla Nubar was simply trying to get everyone healed up and surviving for the few days they had left. Around this time, Ichiru started investigating how to become a vampire. Not by one from his world but from another because he already knew much about the vampires of his world.
When they returned to their normal box after three weeks, Cloud had to be rescued from the remnant's hold. He was weak and docile but Ichiru cared for him anyway. It was also up to him to choose who came and went while his friend was in this state. That was fine considering most of the other residents were too busy playing with the newly-opened space into the Doctor's section of the Facility. The following week gave Ichiru so many children versions of his friends to look after and take care of - including Zero. With nearly everyone a little kid (especially his brother), Ichiru took advantage of the situation and began the process to become a vampire like those from Ishtar's world. By the time the week was over, Ichiru had changed. Which was a serious shock to Zero when he woke as his teenage self next to his brother who was now a vampire. It was not a pleasant conversation and they didn't settle anything between them, though Zero didn't kill Duzell for what he had done. They spent half a month not-talking to each other. In that time, Cloud was killed by Sephiroth at the Doctor's orders but in exchange - the blond got the Black Materia which Ichiru held on to while he was gone. When he came back a week later, it was the start of a more physical relationship between the two of them. Thanks to drugged cookies and arms with minds of their own, the extent of their relationship was also broadcasted to the entire Facility. At least it got Zero talking to him again.
Near the end of March they went to another Facility Three location, this time it was London set in the D.Gray-Man universe. Creatures known as Akuma were everywhere when they first arrived but only those with Innocence could truly defeat them. Once again, Cloud was controlled by some outside force into doing their bidding but it wasn't Sephiroth this time. Still, Ichiru stuck with him and they took over a room inside of Buckingham Palace. The control over Cloud didn't seem to last long and in between his weird moments, things were relatively normal. Most of the time Ichiru wasn't bothered by the experiments that were performed on them, but the following week something happened to him. Ichiru went blind. It made him slightly vulnerable which meant that it was a very bad time for one of Duzell's minions to strike out at him. While he had been learning some of the magic that vampires from Ishtar and Duzell's world was capable of, it wasn't enough to go against someone who had been using it for years. Ichiru came out of the fight alive but serious injured. It was also the moment he discovered that he had very large bat-like wings.
The next day Duzell took Cloud in order to piss him off and to make Ichiru become a good little pawn - and it sort of worked. Though he would never become the vampire's pawn, in fact, he even wanted to use his brother's gun in order to shoot the bastard. Ichiru left the palace room he'd been staying in and found a place to stay in across the enclosure with Zero. It was just the two of them for a time while Duzell dangled his important person in front of him. Eventually Cloud was released and returned to Ichiru. The rest of their time in London passed in relative quietness. Though at one point they did have to move to this strange thing called the Ark as London was decimated in trying to stop the one individual controlling the Akuma.
Waking up back in Facility One in April was getting to be a rather normal occurrence and Ichiru made his way over to where Cloud was. When they both awoke sometime later, they soon learned that suddenly their roles were reversed. Well, almost. Ichiru was no longer a vampire but Cloud was thanks to the experiment. As the week progressed, the blond became possessive of his food source. He refused to let Ichiru leave their suite and out into the population where suddenly half of it had also become vampires. Near the end of April, their dreams and nightmares were broadcasted on the network. He had dreams of times long gone, ones that consisted of his childhood and another that was a future he hoped to have - living in Cloud's world. Ichiru was really in a better place at this point, with so many people he cared for and was even trying to change how he related to his own brother.
Dream week was also the week that Cloud was terminated for good. All he had left of the blond was the Speed Materia he kept taking from the blond's sword. It was a devastating loss for him, to lose someone he'd gotten so close to in such a short amount of time. He didn't want to face most of the world. The only person he wanted to see and be comforted by was Zero. Some time after that, most of the Facility residents experienced a huge shift in their personalities. Talking to Zero reminded him of talking to Kaname Kuran or any other Purebloods he knew really well. He attempted to be the only food source for his brother to prevent him from feeling guilty about taking other people's blood. The following week consisted of voodoo dolls. Ishtar ended up with his doll so he knew it was safe with her and let her keep it. The next couple of weeks didn't consist of a lot of important things - they experienced a language fail and had some interesting information come from their captors. Ichiru was keeping more to himself than he ever had been in the Facility. While he still talked to those closest to him, he wasn't as open with others. By the third week in April, the Doctors had terminated Ichiru for good.
In January of 2012 both Zero and Ichiru were returned to the Facility for a short two weeks. They were placed in Facility Three alongside a lot of familiar faces from their past. While it was nice to be reunited with all of them, he tried to make the best of his time with his friends - for the ones he'd be leaving behind once again. Two weeks passed by in a flash for everyone and being in the desert setting of Hope's End is the last thing he remembers.
Personality Developments:
The first time Ichiru was in the Facility, he'd been taken from a very crucial point in his life. He hadn't yet made the decision to side with Shizuka against even his own family. While he still felt the same about his own life and harbored the same feelings towards his family, Ichiru also still relied heavily on Zero at the age of thirteen. Though it didn't stop him from taking an opportunity to become stronger to try to prevent his brother from being taken from him. The time he spent with Shizuka in canon was far different from how he was with the Final Fantasy crew. Ichiru even suffered through dying at the age of thirteen. He learned what Zero had become and figured out that it was his fault that his brother had become a vampire. All of the experiences he went through changed him to the point that when Shizuka appeared in the Facility, he couldn't go with her this time.
Upon returning when he was seventeen was different too. Ichiru might not have remembered all of his time in the Facility when he was back in his world, but he did when he came back. Knowing his future, knowing that he wouldn't live to see another year in his own world, he decided that he'd live to the fullest while he could. That included becoming a vampire and dreaming of a future in a different world with those he cared about. The first one brought about some difficulties with his brother but they managed to work through them. While Zero isn't happy about the change, he does tolerate it and continue to look out for him. These days Ichiru tries to not do things that would hurt those he cares about, it may not always work but he's very aware that he's become accustomed to doing it either intentionally or accidentally. He's attempting to be a better person (especially towards Zero) but some habits are hard to break and inflicting pain on his brother and manipulating him is something he's been doing for years.
While canonly Ichiru is pulled from a place where he's still willing to torment his brother for his own goals, the memories of his life in the Facility has brought him to the place he was near his own death. He will still manipulate his brother but it's less for his own sake and more for Zero - even if that means he has to inflict a little pain on him. More importantly, he won't let himself be manipulated or used by anyone anymore. Ichiru has had enough of that to last two lifetimes. Instead he wants to enjoy what life is left with the family he has as himself and not as a pawn in someone's game - including his own.
